- Unique three-coloured leaves! - Decorative plant all year round - Very hardy, it is also very drought-resistant - Easy to grow and low-maintenance - More vigorous than the Abelia grandiflora ‘Confetti’® The Abelia TRICOLOR CHARM® was bred in Italy by Paolo Caudai and selected by Formidable Plant Breeders. A shrub with a dense, bushy habit and original green, cream and pink leaves, giving an attractive aspect all year. Growth is relatively slow, needing very little maintenance and is ideal for small gardens, flowerbeds, colourful hedges and in containers for balconies and terraces. During summer, the long-lasting white, sometimes pink tinted, flowers are lightly scented. At the beginning of autumn they make way for decorative bracts that blend in well w ith the autumn leaves. TRICOLOR CHARM®, with a dense and relatively compact bearing, offers good resistance to drought and diseases. The variegated leaves are more stable than the ‘KALEIDOSCOPE’ cov or ‘SPARKLING SILVER’ varieties.
