- A small aesthetic shrub, an erect habit forming a dense column. - Lovely new shoots, a luminous red colour in spring. - Small yellow flowers with red tinted buds in May. - A robust, tolerant and healthy plant. Good resistance to sun. - Perfect in gardens associated with other rock garden plants.! The ‘RED TORCH’ is a small shrub with an erect habit forming a dense column, but larger and more solid than the Berberis vulgaris ‘HELMOND PILLAR’. The lovely red shoots are luminous in the spring. A very attractive plant in the autumn with purple colours and also in spring with small yellow flowers. Red berries appear in September-October. Perfect in rock gardens, borders, isolated or associated with low and colourful plants, but also with perennials in containers.
